We are running MetaFrame XP FR2 on W2K SP2
There is one user that takes over 3 mintues to login to applications. The usrlogon.cmd takes 5 seconds each to delete drive and 5 seconds each to remap. If I remove the users home directory he has no problem with speed. I have changed her home directory; the ntuser.dat is 481k, there are other users with home directories on the same machine without this issue.

Any Ideas?

Hi,

If it's the profile files that have become corrupt, delete the following from that useres profile:-

ntuser.dat
ntuser.dat.log
ntuser.pol (if it's there!)

And then get the user to recreate their profile on the next login and check!

Cheers,
Carl.

Have you got this users to logon using a different machine? It sounds like more of a network issue with resolving names or something like that.

Cheers.

The issue appears to be with the accounts home directory. The home directory is on a local server in Australia. If I set the profile to local path, the login takes 43 seconds. I will check with the local admn there.
