Using WS_FTP Pro

I just downloaded this program and I can't believe how complicated it looks. I feel like I need one of those Dummy books (WP_FTP for Dummies)! I'm trying to publish a site that was created in FrontPage 2000 and someone suggested I get this program because it is a heck of lot easier to use rather than trying to Publish it within FrontPage! Is there an easy way to use WP-FTP?

never used that, try downloading cute FTP from tucows.com , its pretty straight forward. If in doubt get the Ball Pein Hammer out

Its a great program, IMHO anyways. You should check with your Web sites or ISP's home page or support page, I bet they have a walk thru for setting up WS FTP with all your account info since this program is very mainstream.

Basically once you have the user ID info in it works like windows explorer, whats on the left are the source folders, and the right is where the files will end up (your web site). You select a file on the left or right click the arrow button in the middle pointing in what direction you want the file to go.

I agree, it has alot of features and configurations, but you really only need to know what your user ID is, password, and site name, the rest is pretty much left at default settings.

There's a VERY extensive tutorial on using WS_FTP. Link is from my homepage.
The theories are applicable in all FTP programs, but it was written specifically for WS_FTP and has screen shots, etc...
