Any one out there ever use Win2k's back up before ?
how come the file i am backing up, say 10MB ends up a small 200KB of .bkf file ??

i don't think it is backing up properly or just the way win2k stores it

There are a couple of possibilities. The first thing that springs to mind is a question, is that a file you are backing up or a directory?

If it's a single file then you must have some serious compression set up for your backups or the original file is corrupted. Easy way to check is to read the backup log for errors.

If you are backing up a single or several directories, then it may be that you have selected incremental backups only backing up files that have changed since the last backup.

Other than the above, nothing much springs to mind. Hope that helps :-)

nope apply
checked the as normal backup

compression is fine too
well i will play around with it

thanks anyway
