Hi There,

I have a VB module in XI which is used with scheduler. I want to save the report in a different name everytime after execution. This was working fine with my BO6.5. I was adding the date of execution at the end of the actual report name.

IE. My original report name is test. I was adding date which giving me the name like test-20070418(repname). I was saving this with the command ThisDocument.saveas(repname). This looks like is not working in XI.

Any help regarding this will be highly appreciated.

But, you don't need this with XI's scheduler. You can already do something very similar without resorting to VB.

Hi Steve,

I need to give the report a different name. Don't want to keep as instance within the same report. Our InfoView user wants them separately.

Please advise, if there is a way.

Jay

Sounds like an education issue to me. There is little value in putting the date on the file name when you have the option of seeing a date sorted history list.

Sometimes users don't know what's good for them. Tell them it's not possible (it isn't) and then they'll learn to adapt to the right way.
