I have put together an FAQ on using the status bar active-x control. It is a little more versitile than the built in VFP status bar but not documented all that well.

Some points this FAQ covers are:
1- I added a status bar control, I need more panels.
2- I have panels, I need text.
3- Too many panels
4- I have panels, I need pictures.
5- How about a progress bar? (Are you serious?)
6- I need CAPS lock, NUM lock, Date and Time.
7- Resize the panels
8- Text and a picture? No way!

Anyway if you get some free time, check it out both the FAQ and the demo download I have posted and let me know what you think.

Good Job Dave! I agree with Mike - a Star it is.

DSummZZZ,

One more thing about status bar control, if the form's windowstate is set to 2, you will notice that the control remains at its original position. Status bar normally is at the bottom of the form. To do this, put this command in the activate event of the form:

thisform.Mystatusbar1.width = thisform.width

Hope this may help too.

An impressive amount of programming / documentation & worth 2 stars, if I could.

foxwizard,

I hadn't yet used the windowstate = 2 setting on a form utilizing the statusbar. Thanks for pointing that out.
I will note that in the FAQ also.

And again everyone, for taking the time to check it out and also the stars, Thanks a bunch!
