Using the IMS to block Junk mail

All:
Does anyone know how to block unwanted e-mail using the IMS in exchange server 5.5 I found some information in technet but I don't understand it. If anyone knows how to do this in a simple matter can you please help me.

the only way i know how to block it, is thru Message Filtering...

I know 2000 has this but does 5.5 if so how do I do this.
