From the splash page of a web site we trying to use the word "enter" with effects added in Swish (Flash) as a link to a URL within the Root directory of the Web Site. But when tested, Dreamweaver creates a temp file *.htm rather than opening the desired page.whats going on, and how do we fix this ?

I think sometimes I have had that trouble and if I remember- it has to do with the inserted image (or whatever) being inserted "relative to site root" - "relative to document" its just a guess - maybe it will spark the real answer

yep. the problem seems to be that i.e. The Swish defined URL should be typed in as: /pagename.htm
or: /rootdirectory/pagename.htm

but when I try this it doesn't seem to make a difference when tested in a browser. The Swish affected text doesn't become a link.
