I have a cross tab that has Accounts as columns.Reference as rows and Amount as summarized fields.I want to be able to exclude negative Amounts in my cross tab.If I try to use the suppress function on Amounts it suppreses all the amounts. If I try to supress using the Accounts column as its one Account being affected it suppresses all Accounts. How do I go about this?

Hi,

Have you tried using the "CurrentFieldValue" command to suppress the data?

Click on the AMOUNT field in the crosstab, go to suppress, as normal, then in the X2 tab, type in

currentfieldvalue <0

(This will suppress any occurances of the Amount that are less than zero)

Not sure if you want to exclude the negative amounts from the total, or just not display them, but the above just hides the figure, doesnt exclude it from the totals

You can also use the currentfieldvalue command to change the colour of the font, the background colour etc dependant on the value in the Amount.

ie if currentfieldvalue >0 and currentfieldvalue <=1,000 then crred

Hope that helps

"What version of URGENT!!! are you using?

Thanks that helps. The issue right now is The fields are appearing as blank so the filed under amount and total is bank I need to suppress it so that it does not appear on the cross tab.

One solution is to have a subreport in the report header or footer. Use a different selection and put the crosstab there. Since it only runs once, it won't slow the report much.

If there is nothing else in that row of data (Reference), try suppressing the row title if the currentfieldvalue <=0 ??

Ditto if its a blank column (account) you want to suppress.

Not sure if that will work or not as I havent tried it, but it might.
