I wanna know if we are using Window XP Pro (SP2) and we have both the cable-based LAN and wireless setup, is it possible that when we connect to the Wireless network, the cable-based LAN is automatically disabled and similarly when we diconnected from Wireless, it is enabled again.

Normally both should work at the same time.

Are you asking if it can be set so that hard network is automatically disabled when wireless is connected? If so, not as far as I know - but others may know better! (pulling ethernet cable out works of course!)

ok here's your answer to your question.
first go to show all network connections, in advanced at the top of the page select advanced settings you will see a box that lists all the connections which ever one is listed at the top is the master you will find that you can change this by using the arrows on the right hand side o/c of a reboot this will take affect...

so say lan is at top and you switch wirless on at same time progs hunting a network con (ie explorer) will use the lan if you switch off the lan and not the wireless after a few seconds it will see the lost lan and use wireless, then you put your lan back on after a few seconds it will revert to the lan to provide the networking.. it is true that both work together and you can set one to do specific jobs..... hope this helps u

Stand up wherever you are, go to the nearest window and yell as loud as you can, 'I'm mad as hell, and I'm not going to take it anymore.'
