using perl to create pdf files ......

Hi,
Is there anyone here has a experience of working with pdf's ...I looked into the CPAN.ORG...but found nothing what I am looking for.....well my problem is ....I am getting data from database and then what I need to do is to put corresponding data into the pdf fields say e.g. field one is name , then I need to put this name into the pdf....we have template pdf's in which these data fields supposed to go......I am new to perl.....so any help will be really appreciated .....

well my point is we are not creating new pdf ....i need to link those data fields with our templates pdf' ....not to create pdf by our own......and populate PDF field value with data from DB fields....
