Can I use Perfmon to monitor the SQL Server memory usage in the following way?

I'll create a new alert as follows:\

Performance object = Server

What counters would I use.

I also want to start a batch process when memory goes over a certina limit

Thanks,
Alan

Alan12345,

There should be a TON of SQL Server counters available in your PerfMon when you click the Add button. Look for SQLServer:MemoryManager and consider adding the regular Windows Memory counters in with it. SQLServer:Cache Manager may or may not help you out with this...

Let us know how it goes!
