I'm trying to use a Vista 32bit Virtual Machine to get around PCI controller driver issues with my 64bit Vista host machine but I can't access the PCI controllers at all on the VM.

The controllers are PCIe HD TV cards.
Is this at all possible?
Will I have to use USB Controllers instead?
Thanks

Unfortunately the hardware that Virtual PC emulates is a specific set of basic hardware, not the hardware that's installed in the host machine. For this reason it won't 'see' any of your PCI or PCIe cards. Also, Virtual PC doesn't support USB emulation or pass-through.

VirtualBox from Innotek does support USB and you don't need to install drivers for the USB devices on the host. I'm not sure whether it will work but VirtualBox is free so you have nothing to lose by trying:

If it doesn't work maybe dual-booting is your answer. Or you could try asking on forum1583.

Thanks Nelviticus
I currently have VMWare Server 2.0 beta and that supports USB devices too.
Oh well I guess I'll have to get some devices that work with Vista 64bit MCE or reinstall the PC with 32bit Vista
