I am attempting to configure OWA in an environment with two Exchange 2003 servers that will be placed in different geographic locations, but within the same AD domain. While testing, when I connect to OWA on one server and attempt to open a mailbox on the other server, my browser is redirected to the other server and I am prompted for the mailbox name and PW again. I am using Forms Based Authentication and SSL. If I stop the default web page on the server whose mailbox I am attempting to access, I get a "Page could not be found" message.

In assition, if the default web page is running on the other server, all subsequent attempts to connect to the first server to log in result in my browser being redirected to the second server.

Can anyone tell me what's going on?

Thanks!

If presenting a single namespace for multiple servers is a requirement, at least one front-end server is required.

Marcs41,

Thanks for the reply. A while after I posted my question I figured out that I would need to use a FE/BE configuration. I'm still a bit of a novice with 2003, though and expert with 5.5. I'm getting used to the differences.

Your sig says a lot, but with 2003 coming from 5.5, you may want to reverse that statement ;-)
