using outlook vba

hi guys,

there's a few things i'd like to do with Outlook like export/link a contacts list in a public folder to excel so that the excel file reflects any changes made to the contact list.

can anyone point me in the right direction?

if i make a ref to the outlook library in excel, would it be better to do what i want to do from excel instead of outlook?

I also want to manipulate the calendar in outlook so an email is automatically triggered when a certain entry is detected. possible??

any help/advice/tips will be most welcome!
