I recently migrated to Lotus Notes 6.52, the director of the office I work in has been on Outlook for several years.

He wants to be able to use word as an editor for creating and replying to emails. I've seen that you can create emails through create memo, I've tried the suggestion in the help file also.

Is there a 3rd party tool that could be used for this?

Thanks,
Sean

Have you tried changing the user preferences in the mail section (alternate memo editor) ?
I know you say that you tried the help file suggestion, but you do not state which help file document you're talking about.

Yes, I have. You have to go to create word memo for word to be used. I haven't found a way to setup word to be used by New Memo.

You might want to consider Domino Access for Microsoft Outlook. If your a Passport customer, you get this free.

This will allow you to use outlook as your email client.

Be warned though, Dominio Access for Outlook does not work with Outlook 2003 yet.

You can also download the Outlook connector for Domino from Microsoft's Outlook website.

But the best way to wean your outlook users off of Outlook is to deploy some Lotus Notes/Domino applications. Once they see the power of other applications in the work environment, they will see the light.

Using Word as your editor in Notes is lame as it sends the email as an attachment. The other Notes user receiving the mail also needs Word installed to read it. This can be a problem if not all your clients have MS office installed.

Good luck.
