How do I add a snap-in to a w2k workstation/or win95 that allows me to run administrative processes on a server such as allowing an individual to change users password from their desktops. Or is this possible? I know I could setup a terminal server client for this but a mmc with the appropriate snap-in tailored to allow setting disk quotas, changing/reset passwords would be better.

thanks, [sig][/sig]

I haven't tried it yet, but to my understanding the remote workstation has to run W2K and be logged into the domain as the administrator to run MMC. From there the workwstation automatically sees the domain.
Let me know if you find out differently.
Thanks

go to start, run type mmc go to console, add and I think you can add users. You can change local admin usernames however you can not change domain controlers like this, you must add the admin.msi pack from the server disk and you must have admin rights.

This is an easy one. In the i386 folder on the Win2k Server media, there is a file called AdminPak.msi. Run this on the workstation, it will install the "Administrative Tools" snapins found on the server on to the workstation. And even create the predefined mmc's found in the Administrative tools startmenu
