Hi,

I have a Word (2000) document in which checkbox controls have been dropped directly into the document from the "control toolbox" toolbar to make a form. This is to allow users to complete the form and send it back via e-mail.

Using the control toolbox toolbar I exit design mode and save the document. When I re-open the document, it goes back into design mode again. This is a problem because it would be confusing to non-technical users.

How do I stop the controls defaulting back to design mode when the document is opened - ideally this will be a solution which does not require macros, but if a macro is necessary then that would be OK.

Thanks for your help,

Adrian
