I have a hosted website where I've written a simple scheduling software. Visitors come in and pick a time, enter their name and email address, and some simple notes.

We then go in and assign the appointment to a staff member.

After assigning it to an internal resource I want an email sent to the staff member assigned. This, of course, is simple with CDO/ASPMail, etc. However, I would like it to come in as an appointment for Outlook.

We are not running Exchange so I realize that I cannot cause it to automatically enter and that the staff person will have to accept it. That is an acceptable solution for me.

Any help would be appreciated.

Did you ever figure this out? I am having much the same problem.

I did get a solution - however, I am not using it at the moment and cannot remember where I filed it. However,

Shows the format for a vCal file and VB code for creating and sending. This is probably a good place to start.

I think you need to subscribe here
