I need to edit a brochure produced by a team in another city. I received by e-mail a zipped file including everything that makes up a promotional brochure, including a folder titled "fonts" I tried to install them on my pc (Windows XP) but I've not been successful. Can anyone give me directions?

...is the other team on windows too or mac?

...if they are on mac you will need to source pc fonts that are equivalent to the mac versions...

...it is, with extra software, possible to convert mac fonts to pc versions, namely Fontlab Studio...

...here i a link that lists many options for font conversion...

Andrew

...if you need any help with font conversion I have a conversion tool here on my mac that will do the job with the mac fonts you have been sent...

...feel free to email them to me I will see what I can do...

info

...or, alternatively check out the pc conversion tools, try a demo out rather than buying the whole package...

Andrew

...it is worth noting that some conversions may end up loding fine but some text may move slightly, line breaks may appear different too...

...I'd advise that is you do convert the mac fonts to PC versions that you check carefully that no text has overrun boxes or that special characters have all bee preserved...

...fonts are a pain in the proverbial at the best of times, so take care with loading a converted font...

Andrew

...try this;

apepp

(. 'dot')

and then 'info'

...i would type it normally but then it attracts spammers so have had to do it unconventionally...

Andrew

...if you send them, try zipping them in an archive if you know how...

...this will help to stop corruption in transit...
