Hello,
I'm trying to use an Xserve (Mac Server with Mac OSX – Panther) for file storage, but I cannot get users to connect to it via browsing the network.
I get the message:
\\Xserve is not accessible.
The Account is not authorised to log in from this station.
We have three DC’s (running in mixed mode) and the security policy is now set to be undefined (as far as I can tell).
I have followed Apple’s instructions and the server binds to AD fine and auth’s users from other domains (I created a test domain and connected using account credentials from my domain). So I think it’s something within AD causing the problem.
Please help, I’ve spent a long time trying different solutions….Nothing has worked.
PS – This also may help, if you go Run \\IPaddress you can connect fine.
