We are experiencing problems with users in Exchange not being able to change their passwords. The users are getting normal warning messages that their passwords are going to expire in xx number of days. When they attempt to change the password using the proper procedure in the Outlook dialogue box, they get a message that the password could not be changed, even though they followed the procedure properly. If the user logs in to the domain directly to access other resources, they can successfully change their password using the typical tools for doing so. The Outlook profiles on the users' PCs are setup to use None for the Network Logon Security. The reason for this is that most of the resources the users access reside in other domains, and there are no trust relationships setup between the Exchange domain and any of our other domains. Using this setting eliminated the problem we had where Windows was trying to use local cached user credentials to authenticate the users into Exchange. This setup has been working fine for the last 3 years, the problem just recently cropped up. Any ideas on what could be causing this problem that we're experiencing?
