One of my customer is asking me to disable all the Icons on the desktop on a few standalone machine running w2k professional
i tried doing it with MMC by adding the Group Policy Snapin , but it does to even the administrator , and more over the user is able to get back the icon
If anybody can help, Thanx. in advance

Log on as the user set the desktop how you want it and then logon as admin then go to system user profiles copy to a folder you create with his name and then in his user profile set the profile path to that folder. i dont know for sure in w2k pro local but if you then go in and rename the ntuser to ntuser.man to set up a mandatory profile.I know this works on a server domain logon i am not sure about standalone.
