When users go to logon, the last username is usually displayed in the Macola login screen. We are Terminal Server based, so that means it is usually their login name. For some reason, everybody's login name is now showing "Supervisor" instead. This only applies to those logging in to the W2K Term. Servers.

We are in the process of migrating from NT to W2K to W23K Term Servers using 7.6.100a and SQL2K. This started after I removed one of the two W2K Term. Servers from service so I could do the upgrade to W23K on it. As far as I know, no other changes were made to the W2K server still in use. These were load balanced servers and the one was removed when no users were on it.

Those users that are still logging on through NT do not have this issue nor do the ones that go back to NT to logon.

I am thinking this is some sort of profile issue as we use roaming profiles. Some how, something got corrupted. Not a huge problem but I would like to get it back to what is was correctly doing before. I did not see anything at Exacts site.

Forgot to mention that I had also applied the latest M$ patches over the weekend to both servers before I removed one for the W23K upgrade. The problem started after that.
That now sounds an alarm...

After applying Microsoft Security Patch KB917422 this problem began. After this update, users are not able to update INI files in any directory other than default WINDIR folder for the currently logged in user. When a user logs in through terminal server their WINDIR folder is usually located at C:\Documents & Settings\<username>\windows.

You must make a copy of the macola7.ini file in the C:\Windows directory and place it in each user profile's windows directory. This will resolve this issue.
