Is there a tool that makes working with a cisco 2600 router simple?

Ah...like Linksys? No! With a GUI? Yes. Several things in the market today have a GUI with Cisco routers. Cisco Works 2000 for example has a GUI interface with "Cisco View". But if you want something simple for a layman to set up and install....like a Linksys, then your out of luck.

Cisco IOS has a limited built-in web based interface, also some utilities like ConfigMaker and CiscoWorks; But IPKONFIG is rather right. You need good knowledge to configure a Cisco box correctly and you will find Cisco command prompt the best tools, after that its reliablility lets you be kinda layman.
