User gets message: "Your account has been temporarily locked out"

We are using windows 2000 server and terminal server, citrix Metaframe XP FR2. A user connecting to the server via nfuse reports she got a message in red on the log-in screen as follows: "Your account has been temporarily locked out". And she was prevented from getting beyond this stage. She was not locked out by our server; she came into the office the next day and logged on fine here. She did change her network password but this did not affect her access to the network when in the office.
Has anyone seen this before and how do you solve it>
Any help appreciated.
