User cannot get authenticated

I just installed an Exchange 2003 server. The server itself is the Domain controller and DNS server.
After the installation, I used outlook express to test if I can access the server.
I used the built-in administrator account in my email account settings but Exchange server keeps rejecting my account and says my password is invalid.
I can logon with my administrator account with the correct password.
I was running outlook express on the Exchange server itself.
Is there something wrong with my server?
This is a test enviroment. All advices are welcome. Thank you for your kind help.

Try the Exchange 2003 forum instead

It will not allowed you to do this because you are running everything off the same server. Get a second machine and test it that way.
