Hello all - I wasn't sure if this post should go in the Outlook2K3 or the Exchange2K3 forum, but it think it falls under the Exchange2K3 one...

So I have a user that right clicks on a contact, and selects forward.

At that point, a new email comes up with the contact data attached. He fills in the 'to' information and clicks send.

Then immediately following, he gets a bounce back saying he doesnt have permission to do that.

This happens no matter what domain the recieptent belongs to (i.e. our domain or an external one).

Any thoughts on why this may occur?

Thanks ya'll!

Sam

is this a public contact or personal?

I believe it is a personal contact that he is trying to forward out. The contact is stored on the Exchange server though.

ok then ur on the right track...that user doesn't have appropriate rights to his/her mailbox where the contacts are stored. Compare them to the one that does work. Perhaps delete/recreate the mailbox after u backed it up.
All the best!
