We have just upgraded to IPO 500 and I have rolled out the new User4_2_44 Phone Manager package across all users.

We have a variety of environments including XP, Windows 7 32 bit and Windows 7 64 bit.

Most installs have been fine but I have one user who is running Windows 7 64 bit who cannot find the system control unit either during installation or after. He has no other network issues so I am perplexed as to why this would happen.

I have tried rolling the version back to 4_2_31 and forward to 4_2_46 and still no luck, we have restarted between installs run reg cleaners and intensive uninstall packages and the problem still persists.

Any help would be great thanks.

Let us know if this works.

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

Hello

Well I finally got a good opportunity to test this yesterday and reached a solution. It wasn't actually the AV that was causing the issue.

We also use checkpoint secure client for our external VPN access and once I removed that everything was fine. It may not affect anyone else but if it saves anyone the grief it gave me then all good.

Thanks for the help folks.

Nice that you have found it.
So it was still a security issue but a different one than i thought :)
