Use of edit method in Access2000 1

Hi
I hope someone can point me in the right direction.I have recently converted an access97 database to an access2000 database. Everything seems to be working except when I apply
the
rst.edit
.
.
.
rst.update
process. It won't work. The AddNew works ok.
Can you help please?

Look for any references that are missing DAO 3.?
