hi
in siemens primepower 450 system wich is connected to fibrecat s80 disk array with FC cable.
i have instaled solaris 10 and elSSM 1.3 build 3
but when i have create one disk group and three (03) logical drive in this disk group (LUN0, 1, 2) and the disk array have initialize correctly this LUN.
In solaris i have the first LUN only wich appear when i do "format"
how can i use the other logical drive in solaris 10
thanks

I presume you have done a 'reconfigure' reboot (i.e. boot -r or touch /reconfigure ; init 6)?

Annihilannic.

yes i have do this

Do you use the Emulex HBA offered by Fujitsu Siemens?
You may have to change /kernel/drv/sd.conf ... look for lines containing "lpfc" and add entries for LUNs 1 and 2 ... and then reconfigure.

ok i have do this i have add the line in sd.conf and reboot the systeme bue the result is the same
with HBA utility i can view my lun 0 1 and 2
but with format commande i see only one lun

Can you show us the entries you have put in sd.conf?

Annihilannic.

In the Spheras Storage Manager, did you not only create the LUNs, but also mapped them out via "SAN/LUN Mapping"? (RAID Controller -> #01 -> Configuration -> RAID Wizard -> SAN/LUN Mapping)?

Which HBA utility did show you the LUNs?

As Annihilannic said, let's have a look at your sd.conf entries.

format shows the fibrecat as c3t0d0, so the entries in sd.conf should be:
Code:
name="sd" parent="lpfc" target=0 lun=0;
name="sd" parent="lpfc" target=0 lun=1;
name="sd" parent="lpfc" target=0 lun=2;

BTW, as we have two HBAs per machine, we use this syntax:

...
name="sd" parent="lpfc" target=0 lun=0 hba="lpfc0";
...

and the target depends on your settings in /kernel/drv/lpfc.conf.
