use input user into a report

Hi,

i create an input user (with @prompt ...) and i'd like to save the value input (for example : a date) to use this value into a output report.
I don't know how to do it.
can you help me.

How about using userresponse function in edit formula option?

To do it the simplest way Insert - > Special Field - > Query Prompt
