I have one query and another query that is based on it. Both of these queries have forms that are based on them. The form based on the first query has a button that opens a form based on the second. The second form opens to the current record on the first. I would like to use the find button on the toolbar to find records in both forms with both open at the same time. I also attemtped to put the second form in the first as a subform. Both attempts gave me an error that said "The Control 'cmdSub' the macro is attempting to search can't be searched." The control cmdSub is a butto used to open the second form. Is there any way to search both records at the same time?

If you are looking to find to all the records that both queries have in common, your best bet is to use the "Find Duplicates Query Wizard".

Click on the New Query button and have the wizard help you through it.

Connect that to your command button and have another form pop up with all the records that the previous two forms have in common.

Hope that helps
