I am trying to format my new master Hard drive before installing Windows into it. In order to format the hard drive, it requires the mouse to work as usual. However all the mouses I have ARE USB type, and they are not working because the mouse is not seen by the system.

Is there A way to get the USB type mouse working?
to get my drive formated?

You can buy the USB to PS/2 adapter for a couple of bucks or buy yourself a PS/2 connector mouse for around 5 bucks for the cheapest mouse I've seen...

Or, borrow one from a friend or neighbor...

TAB, SPACEBAR, and ENTER should really be all you need to navigate menus. You do not HAVE TO have a mouse.

Thank you so much.
I will try again this way.

Also make sure in the bios legagy usb is on, its what allows the usb devices to work from dos. The converter is better though if you can use it, as ps2 is a lot more reliable then usb although usb does have advantages at times lol.
