USB Printing problems

I'm currently running an old Foxpro 2.0 app. Orginally the program was designed to print to LPT ports (we are upgrading the program to VFP 8.0). I just installed a new workstation in our network and is running Windows 2000. The computer only has 1 LPT port and does not recognize the old LPT card we had installed in the old unit so we got a USB cable converter for the printer. Foxpro 2 will not send the print job to USB001 (which is Windows designation for the USB printer port). Has anyone else run into this situation before and know a work around? This will only be a temporary issue until the new program is launched in less than a month, but I need that print since it prints critical documents for the company. Thanks for any help you all can offer.

If you see a programmer in the office before 9am, they probably never left.

I believe you will find a workaround in the other FoxPro forum (version 1 through 2.6). I've forgetten whether it ended up in a FAQ, or whether you'll need to search on USB.
