US Robotics Modem Via Analog Staion Port?

Anyone ever have a problem using a US Robotics 5686e (Serial) external modem hanging off of a IP 403 analog station running 2.1? For some reason they can plug a standard Carrier supplied dial tone into the modem and it works but when plugged into the IP Office it can't pull dial tone. The station port is fine they are able to pull dial tone from the staion when an analog phone is pluged into the port.

Just for S&G's, are you able to plug the modem into the IP Office, then plug a phone into the modem and pull dialtone?

What Version of V2.1 are you using?
this "may" be firmware related

If I plug a standard phone into the modem the dial tone is passed through the modem.

Please confirm your Software version

IIRC I have seen similar problems with V2.1(44) down grading the Phone modules to V2.1(27) or V2.1(35) should cure your problem
(leave the IPO at V2.1(44))
