I have to upgrade a windows 98 laptop to xp pro. It has an external cd drive (which i have the drivers for) but no floppy drive.

I am trying to do an in-place upgrade, but it fails each time as it can't find the external cd drive.

Is there any way I can store the drivers somewhere (maybe in the i386 folder on the CD) so that the XP installer is still able to use the external cd drive?

Any help would be great, as I have a very nasty deadline to meet :(

Cool, I'll give that a shot now and report back asap.
