Urgent :created database on oracle 8.1.5 on linux, what next

I have just now installed Oracle 8.1.5 on Linux (Red Hat 6.2)

I have got a database created in it. I was able to add records in table only when I uncommented the parameter 'Rollback Segments = R01 R02 R03 R03 R04 R05'.

I will have to modify the parameter 'Processes' to 200 which is currently 50

I would like to know from you all what are the other parameters I will have to set to meet the compatibility
of these parameters.

I am experiencing difficulty installing Oracle 8.1.7 on red hat 7.2.
I just get stuck where Oracle tries to install JRE and it says "Please wait.." - the system goes no further; i installed successfully the JDK 1.1.8.x and 1.2.x versions, but Oracle never looks at these and always tries to install the JRE it comes with.
Also, I have declared the require environment variable for DISPLAY.

Any help is appreciated,
