Hello everybody.
I am building a site that one of its facilities is to allow users upload directly to a predefined area of the server, which is within the main site subfolder in another folder.
For example my site is /WebSite/UploadedImages/Image.gif
Although the thing works fine for localhost is not working for the web...
Also i tested everything else and works fine for both Localhost and the web, that includes SQL updates, deletes, selects e.t.c.
I know that is nothing to do with this and is to do with the settings of the directory security e.t.c but i dont know why isn't working.
For your information Im running WIN XP Pro, with iis 5.1, included all XP updates with Service Pack 1,
I Also have persist upload 3 component installed (and this is the way i use to upload)
Another thing which i recently added to my server was the URLScan tool from microsoft to make the server more secure, i also run Firewall Personal Norton Firewall 2003 But i assume if its allowing all other traffic why not the HTTP upload?
Any ideas of what might be worng or where to look at?
I thing somhow i must fix the directory security to allow files to be uploaded but i tried givving script and read write access and is still isn't working.
