Hello,

I am havign a issue uplink my 2900 to a cisco 2500 router. I set the port to uplink I am using a crossover cable. I get a green light on the switch, but after I set the ip address to the same subnet as the router I cannot ping the router, or back to the switch. If I plug a pc in to the router I can ping everthing fine. I have used this crossover cable before when uplinking to my hub with the same switch and port and it worked fine. Anyone got any ideas on what I am missing.

thanks

Are you talking uplink as in trunking? Layer2, 802.1Q?
Or is the router plugging into the switch as layer3 device?
