Upgrading PBX needs to upgrade SCCS, CP and NCC

Is anybody experiencing daisy-chain upgrading issue as I am about to deal with here. We have an 61C that maxed out the PRI channels and need to be upgraded to 81C. In order to do that I was told by my distributor that I have to upgrade the associated SCCS running 4.2 and CP running 2.0. On top of that I need to upgrade the NCC and SCCS, CP at another location. The whole upgrade costs between $250K and 300K. What a painful upgrade for just adding more PRI cards. Is there any alternatives to reduce that pain? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Could you post a bayface of core/net shelf 0 & 1
you could possibly move some cards around and regain
a usable slot for a pri card.

I read in the Nortel Equipment Identification guide that it is possible to add NT8D35 Network Module as DTI expansion module on the 61C with the above configuration but my vendor said I can't since the software does not allow to do so. We're running Release 3.
