Hey folks,
I am about to upgrade my PC from a AMD K6-2 500 with a Voodoo 3 and chaintech MB.

I am thinking of buying an A-Bit board, an athlon 1.2 GhZ and a Geforce 2 DDR.

Has anyone had any problems with any of these. also My existing RAM is PC100. does anyone know if the A-Bit board still supports this or will I have to shell out for PC133/166

Thanks,
Eradic8or.

See below:

It looks like no matter whether you go Slot A or Socket A you will be able to use your PC100 memory!

Abit AMD Athlon Slot A, 4 DIMMs, ATX K7

Memory
1. Four 168-pin DIMM sockets support PC100/PC133 SDRAM module
2. Supports up to 2 GB MAX. (8, 16, 32, 64, 128, 256, 512MB SDRAM)
3. 6 chip Data Buffer Set
4. Supports ECC

[AMD Socket A Based ATX Mainboard With 4X AGP & SoftMenuTMIII Technology ]

ABIT's highly anticipated Socket A motherboard has arrived. With 3 DIMM, 1 AGP, 1 ISA, and 6 PCI, the KT7 has everything you could want in a top-of-the-line mainboard. If that isn't enough, add in Ultra DMA 66 support, 200 MHz FSB Processor support and ABIT's SoftMenuTM III. Your demands were heard, met and then surpassed with the KT7.

Memory
1. Three 168-pin DIMM sockets support PC100/PC133 SDRAM module
2. Supports up to 1.5 GB MAX. (8, 16, 32, 64, 128, 256, 512MB SDRAM)
3. Supports ECC
