Is it possible to upgrade by downloading from an xp pro 2002 to an xp 2003?
I'm not smart in computers i'm just learning how to fix my pc problems.

Don't believe it is - they are different products.

If you are asking whether you can upgrade a pre-SP2 version of XP, to XP SP2 it is perfectly possible.

If you are asking can you upgrade XP to Windows 2003 than forum member stduc is completely correct above, they are different products.

Windows 2003 is a server product, and it would be tough to convince me that it is appropriate as a client OS.

If you have not done Service Pack 2 (SP2) do so. My strong preference is to do this from a CD ROM image, rather than a download. Microsoft is quite quick to get these out to you, or borrow one from someone who already has the SP2 image, there is no legal issue involved.
