Would you say it is more time consuming rather than difficult to upgrade a BCM50 R2 to R6 or visa versa? This is a unit that is not currently in service but I want to bring it up to R6 and install it from scratch?

Upgrading BCM50 R2 to R6 - Difficult or Just Time Consuming?

As the unit isn't in service it will just be time consuming. Personally, if you already have the release 6.0 keycodes, then I think you will have to do two upgrades via release 3.0. At least you can do it and leave it running whilst doing other work.

Yes I see that there is a 2.0 to 3.0 then to 6.0 available.
