Upgrade VS.Net to Framework 1.1

I have the .Net framework 1.0 and 1.1 installed on my machine. I aslo have VS.Net 2002 with framework 1.0.

There are email properties in 1.1 that are not in 1.0 (authentication properties). How can I upgrade the .Net frame work within VS so I can compile my code and post my website?

VS.NET is tied very closely to the version of the framework you have installed. You'll need to upgrade to VS.NET 2003.

Is the upgrade to VS 2003 free and downloadable off Microsofts website, or is this like upgrading from one version of a windows product to the next?
