Upgrade question

I have an Option 11C running on 25.30 software. I need to upgrade it to 25.40b (Succession) so I can get Calling Name ID info to the displays of my sets. We dont have a vendor. What is my best route?

Yes you have to upgrade to at least 25.40b to get name and number display. Succession is rls 3.0 or 4.0, One thing to remember is will your local carrier be able to supply name delivery?, If you decide to do it you have to go to ni2 and make sure you are not using a dchi card for the dchannel. you can no longer buy any rls older then 3.0.. either contact a vendor in your area or contact nortel direct. i've never tried to buy from nortel without a vendor in the mix, if your using pri the rest (after the upgrade) is simple.. anyone here can help with the steps

I hate to correct others but if you are on 25.30 or any 25. you can still up issue within rls 25. you do not have to go to 3.0, you do need a vendor to get that though

you may be right, i have been told by my nortel rep that anything before 3 was not being shipped.. may be part of the agreement between nortel and their gold partners

I know if you scream loud enough and you buy enough, they can get you whatever upgrade you want. I just saw someone go from 23.15 to 25.40b and it freaked me out that they got it from Nortel.

Could be the one exception though.

I don't think that you can add additional feature packages when doing an upgrade within the same release. Contact a vendor for pricing. Not sure what it would take to order software directly from Nortel.

If you contact a vendor, nortel always has a form for campaign going on for the latest release. I'm sure that if you first have to upgrade it's easier to upgrade to the latest rel, and it's almost as cheap. That's what we have experienced so far.
