A client of mine would like to migrate from Exchange 5.5 to Exchange 2003. With the issue of licensing (Exchange CALS), is there an upgrade path that they can choose, or would they have to go about and purchase Exchange 2003 CALS straight-up?

Thanks

You don't need to follow any 'paths', just get the ones you need straight away. You MS supplier should be able to review your needs with you.

Thanks for the response. I was more wondering that if my client has 300 Exchange 5.5 CALS if they are entitled to any discounts on Exchange 2003 CALS.

Thanks

I'd use that as a battering chip thats for sure, and they seem to be wanting to move to lotus notes that always gets the price down a little.

For 300 cals they should be running with an EA too.
