I have a customer with a MICS ,SP:30nCG20NAT, I assume is Rls 1.(I don't have a translation of the SP#)Reading the posts, I assume that I'll have to go to Rls 6.1 before going up to Rls 7. I also assume that this could take about an hour to complete. I was just trying to ballpark downtime for customer. This is one of those walk in, upgrade, and walkout type jobs. I've only been there once for survey.

Software Rls1 T1(NT7872FA-93) - SP:30nCG20NAT

I can only assume that the correct upgrade kit will be ordered.

Thanks

I have done 5 of these (2 Rel1/T1, 1 1.1 & 2 2.0) with no problems. Yes, you have to go to 6.1 first, then to 7.0. Average time for me was about 45 minutes. Part number for the MICS Upgrade Tool Kit is NT7B80AP. Kit comes with the tool to take it up to 4.1 (part # NT7B64CJ) and to 7.0 (part # NT7B64ZA). For upgrade procedures, look on page 211 of the 7.0 Install guide.

Thanks for the info, I just have to get a RAD so I can back it up before and after.

What we have been doing on r1t1-7.0 upgrade after a bunch of backup failures is upgrade to 3.0 the use nru to do backup....we only do when the backup failed with manager but seems to work fine after upgradem with nru,,only adds 15 min to upgrade
