Upgrade Advice

Hi All,

We have recently purchased Crystal Reports 8.5 with 2 years free upgrade. Crystal Reports 9.0 is now available.

However, the version of VB.Net we use comes with Crystal Reports included. This is what we are currently using to design our reports.

We only have a 2 user license for Crystal Reports 8.5, whereas there are many more of us designing reports from within .Net

Is is worth us obtaining more licenses for Crystal Reports 8.5 and upgrading for free, or can we upgrade within .Net using the current licenses we have?

Please tell me where you purchased crystal 8.5 with 2 years free upgrade.

I strongly suspect this offer is for service releases for CR Version 8.5, and does not give you CR V9, or subsequent releases when they come out. If I am wrong about this then I really, really want to know where you bought CR 8.5, as I am going to see if I can get the same deal on CR 9.

We took out the Developer Edition Upgrade Advantage when we purchased CR 8.5. This provides us with Automatic shipment of major product updates for 2 years.
