Hi,

I have two spreadsheets with suppliers details, both from different sources, but the suppliers details are the same, including the ref-codes. In one sreadsheet the post codes are have not been entered, on the other they have been.

what i want to be able to do is to, copy the post code from the sheet that has them, into the sheet that does not have them. I guess you should be able to do this, by some form of a lookup on the common cell, the ref-code.

Has anyone does this before, and if so how do i do it.

Many Thanks.

Many Thanks

Have a look at the VLookup function in Excel's help.

Check into VLOOKUP, it should be pretty easy to setup. Use the function (fx) button to launch the wizard, it gives good descriptions of each value needed in the formula.
