updating of .ldb file not happening 1

..help!

Any ideas as to why the .ldb log file associated with my Access 97 database (which resides on an NT server) is not being updated when my users open and close the database?

I was under the impression that the .ldb file should be automatically deleted if absolutely everyone close out...

check to make sure all the users have read, right, and all the good stuff, all the users need to be able to have all but full control of the directory... because once one user is unable to update the file correctly, it's messed up for all the users...
